NON-CDL JOBS IN GREEN BAY FAQS

Read through the most frequently asked questions and answers from applicants like you and from our new Non-CDL truck drivers.

A CDL is not required to drive a straight truck. However, drivers with a CDL-A or CDL-B who drive a straight truck are able to carry heavier loads than those without a CDL.

Drivers with one year of verifiable straight truck or semi-trailer experience are typically qualified to drive a straight truck for Lubenow Companies Inc if they are familiar with hours of services and electronic logging (ELD). For experienced drivers without hours of service and ELD training, we have training opportunities that allow you to gain these skills before driving a straight truck interstate.

If you haven’t driven a straight truck but would still like to drive or eventually learn to drive a straight truck, you can drive the sprinter vans to start with.

Non-CDL drivers enjoy the adventure that comes with our varied runs. Most loads pick up in Wisconsin and can deliver anywhere in the 48 states, making this a wonderful opportunity to see the country in a well-maintained vehicle while getting paid. Meals and lodging on overnight runs are paid for plus drivers received a generous overnight bonus. There are currently no dedicated runs.

If you enjoy a varied schedule, a non-CDL position with Lubenow Companies Inc may be the perfect fit. Our loads often require a quick turn-around. You may wake up in the morning without a plan for the day, but that could change quickly by being called to deliver a load to another part of the country. You might end your night with a delicious Shrimp Gumbo in New Orleans or a Fresh Lobster Roll in Massachusetts. If this sounds like fun to you, let’s talk! Don’t forget, in addition to receiving an overnight bonus, your meals and lodging are paid for!

More often than not, our loads are loaded and unloaded while the driver stays in their cab. Our non-CDL freight is 95% no-touch.

  • As a part-time driver, you can let us know what days you are available and how far out you are willing to run. Our sprinter drivers are only considered part-time.
  • As a full-time driver, you would need to meet 32+ hours for full-time status and would be required to run any freight, anytime, anywhere. Straight truck drivers can be full- or part-time.

Our non-CDL drivers do not bring passengers, as the trips are usually out and back and drivers aren’t gone for long periods of time.

  • Sprinter drivers start out at $17.50/hr for all on-duty time.
  • Straight truck drivers (those with at least 1-year experience but never logged) start out at $18.50/hour for all on-duty time.
  • Straight truck drivers (those with at least 1-year experience and know the HOS) start out at $21.50/hour.
  • All drivers are eligible for a quarterly safety bonus of $.02/mile for all miles dispatched. Any driver running out of state that would require an overnight stay will be compensated by hourly pay, (by position) layover pay for being out overnight, as well as meals and hotels paid.
  • Part-time employees are offered: Safety bonus, paid time off, holiday pay, fully vested 401K with match, Aflac Accident plan, DOT physical renewal, and free uniforms.
  • Full-time employees are offered all of the above plus health, dental, and vision insurance.
